Used WWT & Cargo-Worthy Shipping Containers
Used containers are retired from international shipping after 10–15 years of cargo service. They show cosmetic wear and surface rust but remain structurally sound and weatherproof — the best dollar-per-square-foot value in the market.
Key Specifications
- ▸10–15 years of prior cargo service
- ▸Wind & Watertight (WWT): door seal verified
- ▸Cargo Worthy (CWO): WWT + structural cert for re-export
- ▸Surface rust, dents, and paint patches expected
- ▸5–10 year usable life remaining
- ▸30–40% cheaper than one-trip equivalents
WWT vs Cargo Worthy
WWT is the minimum spec for ground storage — doors seal, roof doesn't leak. Cargo Worthy adds a structural inspection certifying the container can be re-loaded onto a ship. CWO costs ~10% more.
What Cosmetic Wear Looks Like
Expect surface rust, paint scratches, manufacturer logos, dents in side panels, and weathered original color. The container is sold as-is; we don't repaint unless you order a refurbished unit.
Best Uses
Job site tool storage, agricultural storage, equipment cover, archive storage, secondary backyard storage — anywhere a perfect exterior isn't critical.
